Dual-Views Are Better Than One
Tired of sticking your face against the wall to see if it’s plumb? Levels with Kapro’s Plumb Site Dual View show a reflection of the plumb vial on the front edge. Not only do they claim it’s easier to read, but that it can eliminate parallax errors — basically errors that creep in because you aren’t looking straight at the bubble vial.
While you can drop over $200 on some of Kapro’s levels with Plumb Site Dual View, we’ll look at a more affordable option: the Sampson series. Theses levels feature bubble vials for plumb, level and 45°. Made of “heavy-duty” aluminum, Kapro mills the front and back edges of the I-beam for 0.001″/inch accuracy and slaps on some rubber end caps to protect the level from drops.
Available in magnetic and non-magnetic models, you can buy the Sampson series levels in 24″, 48″, 72″, 78″, and 96″ lengths. Expect to pay anywhere between $15 and $35 depending on size.

Nifty!
That’s around the price I’d pay for a normal alu / milled, own brand level in the UK.
