If you were a Klingon, the Fork It Over from Backyard Warriors would be your grill fork. This mean-looking utensil lets you grab steaks without contorting your hand, and flip them by simply turning your wrist.

They make their patented barbecue fork from food-grade stainless steel and solid hardwood, and it works in either the left or right hand. You can purchase one for $15 or two for $24, including shipping.

If you watch the video over on their homepage, there’s at least two things wrong with it. First, whatever happened to the 5 second rule? Second, if you don’t beat the dog to the meat, you don’t deserve it.

Nice… Do they make one with the tines on both ends? Now THAT would be a Klingon War Fork…

Don’t put that fork in my steak! I want all the juice to stay in the steak please and not leak out through fork holes! Get some tongs. Now if you need to fight off some BBQ vultures those look very effective.

    I second that notion.

Leave the forks for eating and flip your steaks with some good tongs.

I am so going to do a sketch of these Klingon Death Forks!

See other odd pointy things I have sketched here:

I’ll be another that would rather use a good set of tongs, for the reasons already stated. As for good tongs, check out OXO’s Good Grips Locking Tongs – http://www.oxo.com/OA_HTML/xxoxo_ibeCCtpOXOPrdDtl.jsp?section=10064&item=47697&minisite=10024&respid=53057&morpheus_PROD=52Izo5AgE8O3U5pm1linqxho:S&morpheus_PROD_pses=morpheus_PROD%3D52Izo5AgE8O3U5pm1linqxho%253AS%7E
    – the 16″ size is perfect for the grill.

One thing I forgot to mention about the OXO tongs; for the grill, I like the plain stainless steel ones without the nylon or silicone jaws, but with the non-slip plastic handles – best tongs I’ve found to date.
