Two-Finger Bungee Cord
Master Lock is trying to make it easier to use bungee cords. Rather than trying to hold onto the middle of a small metal hook, you slip your fingers into the two-finger grip, making it easier and safer to stretch them.
The black 5/16″ diameter cords have the EZ Grip polypropylene hook on both ends. Sold in 24″ and 32″ lengths, a single bungee of either length will run you about $3 to $4.

Have to admit to not wanting to get my finger caught in one of these again////
Good Idea, but sounds dangerous…

This looks dangerous. Do you really want your fingers “trapped” in there if something shifts and it really starts to pull from the other end?
What they said.
I’ve been putting cord loops on bugee cords for years. good idea.

get a life.
or go do something you’re qualified for.
dan: a cord loop is a lot less dangerous to a finger than hard plastic. And watch your tone.
Of course, getting your finger caught in the hook of a normal bungee cord isn’t exactly a walk in the park either, so I’m not quite sure how this is necessarily any worse (or better) in that regard.

sorry for the tone; it was late.
I just tie a loop at the ass-end of the hook (paracord=ductape); makes it easier to pull them.
Master Lock also has a version with locking ends but without the finger holes: http://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-3028DAT-Snap-Lok-Bungee/dp/B0009V1WV6
