Midwest Hunters Outlet has the 3oz. bottle of Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil Gun Stock finish for $3.53. It’s not something you’ll need all the time but it does come in handy if you’ve got a less-than-perfect stock lying around at home.

Used for finishing and touching up gun stocks, Tru-Oil is a mix of linseed oil and fillers. You could also use other types of finish on gun stocks, like some folks do. However, stocks normally have certain classic looks — and this is one of them.

Right….. what exactly makes this gunstock finish?

It’s just a linseed oil varnish for more that $1 an ounce! Stick with danish oil for $6.50 a pint ($0.40/ounce.)
