For any sort of carpentry, woodworking, or masonry project, you want to measure your angles accurately.  If it’s time to replace that antiquated adjustable angle finder with a newer, shinier model, take a look at Craftsman’s new 4-in-1 digital angle finder.

This lightweight aluminum tool functions as an angle finder, compound cut calculator, protractor, and level. The digital angle finder measures angles from 0 – 220 degrees with an accuracy of +/-0.1 degree, and it displays this information on front and rear backlit LED screens.  With the press of a button you can switch between the various functions, including miter and bevel calculations for crown molding cuts.

In addition to the digital functions, the tool features bubble vials for finding level and plumb readings, and a protractor lets you accurately transfer or repeat angles.

You’ll see this item on shelves at Sears and online at Sears.com the first week of June in preparation for Father’s Day.  Retail will be $100, but expect it to go on sale as the holiday weekend gets closer.

So is it a digital level too? I’m an accuracy freak and love my little Husky digital level. It should be too far of a stretch to integrate a digital level function in this digital protractor.

Um. I’m pretty sure the holiday weekend just ended. I guess there are more coming, but that really didn’t make sense.

By holiday weekend, I am referring to Father’s Day next month.

I been using the bosch one for some time and it’s a very handy tool for crown moulding.

  5. Keith Parsons says:

That’s a little expensive for me. Anything cheaper?
