Fenner PowerTwist V-Belts

Most belt-powered shop tools ship out with the cheapest belt that’ll keep the tool running — and thanks to lower manufacturing standards, these belts can cause excess vibration and noise. Fenner offers a replacement V-belt option that’ll work not only with your shop tools but with any belt-driven device, to keep ’em running smooth and quiet.
The PowerTwist V-Belt consists of interconnected links — you can add or remove individual links to make the belt any length you want, without any tools. Fenner makes the high-strength belts of a polyurethane and polyester combination that’ll outlast other belts, and the design gives the belts some limited stretch for a quiet and smooth operation.
You can get the belts in most standard widths and lengths, from 5 to 100 feet. They can withstand oil, grease, water, and temperatures from -40 to +240 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fenner PowerTwist V-Belts start at about $25 and prices go up with longer lengths and greater widths.

Snagged one of these for my tablesaw, and I must say it made a significant improvement.

I carry a roll of this stuff in the truck. Much easier than trying to stock a dozen different belts. It works great but on high velocity close coupled pulleys, it don’t survive as well as a standard AX or BX belt.
Tried this, and I agree it made a big improvement, but that was going from a very cheap v-belt to an expensive link belt. So, on a different machine, I swapped a very cheap v-belt to a quality (but relative to the link belt, inexpensive) v-belt and the amount of improvement was almost the same. So I’m not so sure I’m willing to convert all of my belt driven equipment, but that’s just my view.
