Dealmonger: Vise Grip Parts

Sometimes the best way to save money on a tool is to fix a broken one. Reliable Paper sells a selection of Vise Grip replacement springs at good prices, so you can get those old beat-up Vise Grips functioning like new again. A number of other web suppliers, like MyToolstore.com, sell other spare parts for Vise Grips, such as the adjusting screws.

I don’t know how much they charge for these parts, but you can get springs at any good hardware store, and you can use a bolt for the adjustment screw. I used to put eyebolts in mine sometimes so I could hang them off of my bag or belt.
About 2 years ago, I wrote to Irwin regarding a broken spring on a pair of Vise-Grip pliers….they sent me a new spring in the mail within a week. Free of charge. I don’t know if they still do that.
@David: man, that eyebolt idea is a great one, thanks!
I thought vise grips were gaurenteed for life!
FYI:
Vise-grips are now made in China.
