SandFlex Sanding Blocks

Back when I was an artilleryman in the military, when we found rust on the cannons we called it “artillery gold.” Little did I know that the artillery gold would follow me in my post-military years; any times there’s a rapid temperature change, or rain, or high humidity, a thin layer of water covers my shop equipment and the rusting process starts. Nowadays I remove that “tool gold” with Klingspor’s SandFlex Sanding Blocks.
The sanding blocks, which are rubber blocks with abrasive throughout, come in three different grits: coarse, medium, and fine. You use ’em just like a giant eraser to remove corrosion from your tools — and you won’t need any additional chemicals in this cleaning process.
The SandFlex Sanding Blocks sell for $4.

These “rust erasers” are a must-have item for maintaining tools with cast iron tables.
Two words — Harbour freight………
I have atleast 40 of these from there and I love them
I have been using these since they came out. At first, I would order the coarse, medium and fine. But never found much use for medium and fine. The coarse is very good.
Glad to hear they are at HF.
i have not used the Klingspor version of these yet, but i have used the Nortons and the HF version. Love both, but the harbor freights don’t seem tohold up as well. I think on sale you get like ten for the price of one Norton, though.
