Used in conjunction with a right angle drill, these stubby spade bits from Milwaukee let you bore holes in the tightest of places.  Even if you don’t have a right angle drill, they’ll still let you bore holes straight into the studs where you had to angle the holes before.  Think about how much easier it’ll be to fish that Romex or PEX through the studs now.

Milwaukee gives these bits a sharp cutting edge to help remove chips faster, bore holes quicker, and reduce vibration.  With the set shown here they include a 6″ Quik-Lok extension and five 3-1/2″-long bits for making 3/4″, 7/8″, 15/16″, 1″, and 1-1/8″ holes.  They also throw in a soft case with a carabiner to clip the set to your belt.

You can expect to pay about $20 for this set of stubby spade bits.

I purchased a set of these right after they came out. I needed to drill holes between studs to add new wiring for a den remodel. I used them with my Ryobi Impact Driver and they worked great. Well worth the money plus you can use the extension for any 1/4″ hex shank bit. Highly recommend.

used them all last summer on a couple of projects, good product. I use the extension all the time on my 12 volt drill, which is great when installing ceiling light fixtures.
