You’ve lost the case for your nail gun, or you just don’t bother to carry it around anymore because it’s too bulky.  Take a look at a bag like Bucket Boss’ gunner bag — it isn’t much bigger than a framing nailer, but it’ll help protect your investment from dirt and dings.

There seem to be two versions of this bag floating around — while all the retailers describe the gate-mouth bag, some retailers display a picture of a side-zippered bag instead.  One Amazon purchaser even said he wasn’t shipping the bag described.  We’re not sure what’s going on here, but maybe Bucket Boss redesigned the bag, keeping the same model number.

Another strange thing about Bucket Boss:  They seem to have let their domain registration lapse, and some cyber-squatter replaced their corporate page with one of those annoying search-redirect pages.  We’re not sure what this means for the company, but hopefully they’ll still be around for awhile.

Street pricing runs about $25 for the gunner bag, whichever version you get.

    We use MMF file boxes:

To hold our Hitachi Roofing nailers and our Bostich Flooring Staplers.
We use a bit of building foam padding to protect the tools on the inside of the boxes.

I forgot to mention the “Husky” brand (Home Depot) attache style aluminum boxes that work well for larger nailers.
