If you didn’t like the design of the Plan Station portable jobsite desk, check out this product from Trojan Manufacturing that trades some size and storage for a little more rigidity.  Their PT-2640 portable plan table provides a sturdy 26″ x 40″ work surface anywhere you can find exposed 2X studs.

Fasten a 26″ by 39-1/2″ piece of 1/2″ plywood to the portable plan table’s steel powder-coated frame, slip the bracket onto a stud, and tighten the anchor bolt — you’re in business. Considering it’s made from steel and plywood, the “lightweight” design makes the table easy to relocate when needed, and simple to store when the job’s through.

Trojan’s website lists the project plan table as a new product, so nobody carries it online yet.  You’ll either have to wait until this hits stores or contact Trojan directly.

Two plastic saw horses and any wood board I can find still works for me.

I thought that’s what the hood of the truck was for, along with a couple magnets.

No, seriously looks like something that would be useful. I’ve never been dissatisfied with anything from Trojan.
