Doh! Know Your Trailer
It’s always embarrassing to see these videos come out of your home state. What we have here is a fine example of what happens when you think all those height signs on overpasses and overhangs don’t apply to you. It’s like something you’d see in a movie, except the truck doesn’t explode or anything.
What I’d like to know is what did the cops — who undoubtedly showed up to this — do upon arriving? If it was me, I don’t think I could’ve kept from doubling over in hysterical laughter, after I’d determined no one was hurt. It’s probably best I don’t wear a badge.
How Not To Use The Drive-Through ATM [YouTube]
What’s really embarrassing to the bank or whoever had the ATM is how easily the overhang came down. It collapsed so easily when the trailer hit it, it looks like a strong breeze could have brought it down.

Man, it looks like the corner of that roof hit the drivers side of the truck too – wonder if he/she made it?
This video has been making the rounds for a couple of months now, both driver and passenger (the guy’s son, IIRC) make it out just fine.
Here’s some more to the story: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3928352
Somewhere out in video land there is an interview with the guy that was driving. It shows the trailer after the wreck sitting at a dealer.
Something like this is not hard to do especially if your not used to pulling a tall trailer.
