Seems like everything you buy today needs power and you can never find an outlet when you need it.  Sure, you can plug in a power strip or run extension cords from other nearby outlets, but that’s really just a band-aid that adds clutter.  In response to this ever-growing need for places to plug things in, Leviton makes a triplex receptacle that can accept three plugs simultaneously.

Their triplex receptacle fits in the standard-size wall box, so you can retrofit your house without breaking the bank — although you should check your local codes on the number of outlets allowed on a circuit.  Leviton designed these to fit side-by-side in multi-gang boxes with no dividers for a clean look.  The catch: You have to buy Acenti cover plates, as the triplex receptacles won’t work with standard plates.

Leviton molds all visible surfaces from engineering-grade polymer to maintain uniformity of color.  They sell the triplex receptacles in alabaster (white), natural, onyx, driftwood, sand, quartz, and slate.  All colors come with a matte finish.

Looking at the street pricing, these things once cost $15 to $20, but you can snag either 15A or 20A triplex receptacles on Amazon for $5 plus free shipping on orders over $25.  Wall plates aren’t included.

This looks really sweet except they should have the top and bottom plug reversed to allow large wall warts
