Grease Fitting Rejuvenator

You pop your grease gun onto the zerk fitting and try to pump, but instead of moving the pump handle your arm just stops. You’ve got yourself a clogged fitting or joint. Replacing the fitting and trying again is easy enough, but what if the joint still doesn’t take any grease? Instead of replacing it or taking it apart give the Grease Joint Rejuvenator a try.

The Grease Joint Rejuvenator injects penetrating oil into the joint to break up and dissolve blockages. To use the Rejuvenator, pull out the piston, fill up the cylinder with penetrating oil, replace the piston, lock the Rejuvenator onto the fitting, and tap on the piston head with a hammer until it starts to move.

IPA sells a professional model and a pocket model Grease Joint Rejuvenator. The coupling on the professional model can be removed for replacement or to put on the 5″ flexible hose for getting those hard-to-reach fittings. The smaller pocket model offers its own advantages — due to the smaller piston diameter, it can produce almost twice as much pressure as the professional model.

The professional model starts at $34 and the pocket model starts at $20.

One Response to Rejuvenate Stuck Grease Fittings And Joints

  1. Robert says:

This tool is quite possibly an extrememly bad idea.

Something made the zerk fitting stick. Crud, corrosion, etc. All this gizmo is going to do is drive that stuff into your machines grease cavity. Where it can wreak havoc with your roller bearings.

Roller bearings are not debris friendly. Why spend good money to save a bit and put them at risk?
