Spud Wrench

When you’re lying underneath a sink and working above your head, or if you’re even anywhere near your toilet, you want the right sized tool — you don’t want to be fumbling around, constantly adjusting your wrench. That’s where this 4-in-1 spud wrench might come in handy.

This stamped-steel, nickel-plated wrench fits easily into your toolbox. It fits 1-3/4″, 2″, and 2-1/2″ hex jam/spud nuts, slip nuts, and lock nuts. It also includes a 1/2″ lug turn and pivot hook — our plumber readers will have to enlighten us on exactly what that means.

Although General Tools doesn’t come right out and say it, more than likely they import this wrench. Following the Amazon link will lead you to a tool that looks remarkably similar, but the title lists it as imported.

Anything that makes plumbing easier is worth the $4 and $12 price. Think of what it costs to call a plumber.

I bought one of these and am working to replace the faucet in a bathroom sink. It fits nothing so far. For what is it used?
