Since Bosch introduced the PS20 a few years ago, most of us who got our hands on one have lamented the fact that a flashlight wasn’t in the line-up. Bosch has now corrected that — and they’re also releasing the PS20-2A driver, the second gen of the original driver.
Though the new batteries are labeled 12V, Bosch says they’re the same batteries that power the original PS20 and PS40. The FL11 12V Max LED Flashlight looks super small and should make a welcome addition to the line.
The Bosch PS20-2A Pocket Driver, the second-generation upgrade of the tool that launched the compact-cordless frenzy around two years ago, boasts more power and increases in speed and torque versus the original. The new PS20 also features the first magnetic bit holder in the ultra-compact category, which means insert bits aren’t a problem — a welcome change.
Retail pricing is set at around $40 for the flashlight, but we don’t have pricing info quite yet for the PS20-2A. Since the battery platform is the same, as well as many of the components, we’re guessing the price point’ll be similar to the PS20.
