We dig a well-worn pocket knife. This beloved Swiss Army blade has been there and back, and, though someone obviously took good care of it, it has definitely seen some action.

The handle has been worn down, and the distinctive set of fine scratches on the blades show that they’ve been opened and closed hundreds of times over the years. This great picture reminds us why we carry tools with us — because we need them in everyday life.

I want to say it, because I am in the mood to say it.

Then why are the trumped up, “lie to the people”, image over substance, “if you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to fear” messed up Department of Homeland Insecurity, Transportation Security goons allowed to take these pocket knives from the pockets of our citizens?

Frank: Simple answer — security theater.

I have this knife and carry it/use it daily. Also found that by sharpening the main screwdriver and the rounded part of the small driver, I have two really good gouges for wood. Beats carrying a batch of chisels.

This looks like the Recruit model except I don’t see tweezers or the toothpick. I picked up one today at Lowes. Nice knife. Good size for pocket carry.
