This portable job site desk hangs from two nails pounded into any stud wall. It folds up and out of the way when it’s not needed, and you can carry it off the site by the handles like a portfolio when you’re done.
Two pieces of 2’x4′ plywood slip into the plan station’s fabric panels for the back and table. When it’s opened, the back sports two rows of mesh pockets for holding pens, pencils, invoices, notebooks, cell phones, and your drink — there’s even a place to roll up and store your blueprints. Use your laptop and keep your cords uncluttered with the cord access slot in the rear. If you want to set up the plan station for free-standing use, slip dowels into the slots in the sides to support the back.
Finley makes the plan station from 1200-denier nylon fabric and reinforces the seams to make it tough enough for the job site. The hanging rings are spaced 48″ on center to match most stud walls.
The plan station runs about $70 — wood not included.
