On the hunt for a hand truck or dolly, I found satisfactory offerings at Sam’s Club, Staples, Office Max, and Office Depot, for between $50 and $70 — pretty reasonable, considering the alternative could be back surgery. For $20 to $30 Ace Hardware, Lowe’s, and Home Depot sell dollies that’re rated for max loads of 250 to 300 pounds. But for my money, I’ll take this gem I found at Northern Tool and Equipment: a $20 hand truck rated at 600 pounds. It really pays to look around!

One Response to Dealmonger: $20 Hand Truck

Nice deal. I went to Northern tool to check it out, but shipping costs as much as the dolly, so that puts the price at $40. Guess I’ll get the one from Ace.
