If you’re thinking of buying directly from the Festool site, you’d better hurry — they’re closing the virtual doors on their web catalog April 1st. This comes as a bit of a surprise, but we’re guessing the tools aren’t flying off the shelves directly from the site.

So if you haven’t found a local Festool dealer, you’ve got about three weeks left to get your Net-shop on. We understand why they’re going this way, but it’s always nice to have the option of going straight to the source, especially if you aren’t close to a dealer.

Press Release [Festool USA]

But there are enough awesome independent mail order stores who’ll support you better than Festool USA will (not saying they’re bad, just saying that Bob Marino and Timmy the Festool Junkie and the guys at McFeely’s all seem to be awesome), so this isn’t really a bad thing.

  2. Ken says:

You can get Festool on Amazon now, tioo.

  3. LoneRider says:

I purchased my saw and Domino at McFeelys abd have been fairly impressed with their service, they occasionaly have some packing issues, or lack there of as the case may be. But hey, Robinson screws rule!

Anyway, I would suggest that one of the best ways too keep your channels happy is to *NOT* compete against them. Since both Woodcraft and Rockler carry Festool I would guess one or both of them suggested they act like a typical manufacture and not sell against them.
