Just guessing here, but it looks like EZ Red took the “light the darkness with your cell phone” trick to heart. Their flip light works just like that, brightening up your work area with 18 LED lights.

It runs seven hours without a battery recharge, and it features a big hook on top to hang it where needed. A bit hokey, perhaps — but we can see the handiness of a light like this in some cases. We wouldn’t be caught dead wearing it Batman-style like the manufacturer suggests, but it would be good in, say, a glove box.

That said, for the crack-smoking $60 asking price, we could buy about 20 of the shake-’em-up kind at the big box instead.

    Amazon has it for $40.

I’d like to see a small pocket size worklight that is like a mini maglite in candle mode, with an entirely magnetic body, and a slide up half shield that would be useful for shielding your eyes from direct view of bulb. Preferably in LED.
