If you’ve ever frantically searched your tool bag for a set of batteries when you really needed them, you might dig the Personal Battery Caddy. Designed for pilots, the molded plastic case securely holds several fresh batteries in a compact package. And it glows in the dark to boot.

You can choose from several versions of the Battery Caddy. The original version holds 12 AAs, four AAAs, two Cs, and one 9V — other versions carry different varieties of cells. The Caddy secures the batteries with plastic tabs, and you can slide out individual batteries one-handed. It comes in six colors in addition to glow-green. Prices vary across the line of products, but the original Battery Caddy runs about $12.

2 Responses to Keep Batteries Organized On The Go

  1. Tony says:

Wouldn’t keeping the batteries in a bag negate the affects of the glow-in-the-dark material?

  2. Tony, it’s more useful than you might think. If you’re nosing around in a toolbag with a flashlight, having the material glow *after* you’ve pointed the beam over to the opposite side of the bag can really make it stand out.

On a related note, I’ve been leaning towards canvas toolbags lately, because the photon-sucking black nylon is just so hard to see into. A beige interior, even when dirty, reflects a lot more light around the inside of the bag and makes it much easier to find things.
