Rollers make your paint job go faster, but the clean-up afterward takes just as long as with regular brushes — the paint tray and rollers collect paint, and you have to scrub ’em if you ever want to use them again. Now Shur-Line offers a five-piece set that’s covered in Teflon for easy clean up. Shur-Line claims that dried paint will peel right off!

The set comes with two 9″ Teflon-coated knit roller covers as well as a roller frame and a 16″x11.5″ paint tray coated with the slick stuff. Shur-Line even throws in a plastic edge for good measure.

If you’re tired of tossing out liners or disposable trays, you might want to give this a shot. Street pricing starts around $8.

I actually purchased one of these “starter kits” from Lowe’s recently…and as advertised, the paint does peel right off. Has to dry completely, obviously, but it works like a charm. Definitely worth the cash.

You’re telling me that if I leave a nappy roller filled with paint and let it dry, that the layer of embedded crusty paint will just peel right off of the roller and out of the nap? I believe the pan, but the roller too? Really?

No, they’re not teflon coated roller covers, its the pan.
