Pocket Saw Cuts (Almost) Anything
Emson claims their “As Seen on TV” MXZ Pocket Saw cuts though almost anything — metal, bricks, wood, and maybe even tomatoes. I’m a bit skeptical of all infomercial tools, but this three-position locking saw blade with a tungsten carbide edge “that never needs sharpening” still caught my eye.
Of course, one of the positions is closed. And the MXZ’s strange sandpaper-like carbide is impossible to sharpen – even if one day it doesn’t cut well. Still, its aluminum handle looks beefy, but comfortable. The MXZ’s “amazing blade” also appears to take the same shape as a Sawzall blade, so you might be able to switch it out for any other blade.
At a street price of $15 it might make a good jobsite saw — assuming you could swap in a better blade when it wears out. (Watch out — the MXZ sells for $20 via the corporate site, but Amazon carries it for $15.)

Some CVS stores had these drastically marked down. I got 1 for 90% off. Haven’t used it yet. Probably not worth a trip to CVS to get one,but if you’re gong there anyway, check out their marked down mdse.
Looks to me like a Lenox Tri-Fold saw with a different paint scheme and a carbide grit blade.

Not a new idea by a long shot, but for that money, buy the milwaukee.
Yeah, I think I would go with the Bosch pocket saw and put in the appropriate sawzall blade to cut what needed to be cut.

I got a carbide grit cable that fits a hacksaw frame. Having a bevy of other metal cutting implements I’ve only used on plastic. It loads up, but was good for some fast cutting to remove my airbox.
