Festool’s Domino joiner has seen a lot of positive press this year — from us and others. It was even included in PopSci’s Best of What’s New 2007, with our hearty recommendation as part of the selection committee. But those of you who read past the basics know that you’ll need a variety of various-sized cutters and Domino tenons to really make use of Festool’s new rig. Thankfully, they now offer a sweet case to store your collection in a style worthy of this high-buck tool.

Festool’s $80 “Domino assortment systainer” (pictured) holds six different cutter/tenon combinations. Sadly, the case doesn’t include any actual cutters or tenons — you’ll have to shell out separately for ’em. But at least now you won’t arrive at the jobsite with your $750 joiner in a lousy bag getting scratched up by loose gear, right?

Note: A variety of dealers are offering the systainer chock full of cutter/tenon combos for prices ranging from $190 to $250. A number of these combos appear in the street pricing link below.

I still think $750 for this thing is INSANE.

We have the systainer featured on a rig with a few other systainers on their dolly. Organization supreme! Even our clients inquire about it.
