TM reader usefulguy posted this great series of pics of his impressive homebuilt toolbox. We loved that the entire thing is literally crammed full of tools but still quite organized. It even has a removable mini-box with small assorted clamps, pencils and other measuring gear. The seriously crafty use of space makes the whole rig the kind of place our most-used tools like to call home.

Looks very organized, but no handle?

The handles are on the ends. I also tried a strap for awhle but it was more trouble than it was worth.

This was inspired by a few different designs in Jim Toplins “The Toolbox Book” from Taunton Press.

One feature that you can’t see that really works well is the rare earth magnets that retain the hammer and tape measures.

    Nice Box. Well thought out.
Wish I could keep mine that organised.
