TM reader Frank writes: “I found a really cool store: nutsandbolts.com.  I just bought their largest assortment of grade eight nuts and bolts, and it’s awesome.  Now I’ve got a better selection of grade eight hardware than my local Lowe’s.”

That’s easier than it sounds.  While the big boxes carry a pretty wide selection of common fasteners, you’re screwed if you need anything specific.  We’ve been stocking up in the TM shop; you can never have too many fasteners.

NutsAndBolts looks pretty cool.  Just ignore the dorky video on the main page about the founder and president.  Why is it that so many family-owned companies feel the need to tell everyone about their personal lives?

That wouldn’t be too hard considering how terrible Lowe’s hardware department is..

If anyone is/around Portland Oregon visit Winks (http://www.winkshardware.com). They have a jaw-dropping selection of hardware. And the best part is they take you behind the counter with them back into the warehouse to find stuff. Wheeeee
