This morning Amazon knocked their price on Gilmour’s 4-cycle electronic water timer from an unrealistic $54 to a quite reasonable $44.91.  I use one of these to run soaker hoses around my house’s foundation to keep the soil moist in the miserable Texas heat.  As its name suggests, it offers four separate on/off watering cycles — perfect for scheduling around water restrictions.  Anyway, I’ve had good experiences with this timer, and this is about what I paid for mine.

I have one of these timers too – They’re much easier to program than some similara timers I have from another maker. I think I picked this up for $40 at Lowe’s though – normal price.

These timers are really useful if you’re trying to overseed some new grass in the fall – you can set the timer to run the sprinkler for maybe 15 minutes, 3 times a day.

I use a mechanical timer, just twist to the time you want; couldn’t be easier and it’s cheap and works without batteries.

any one know where I can get this product? I really need a few. thanks.
