I know what you’re thinking: $100 for a flippin’ battery?  Yes, it’s a deal.  They normally run around $115 to $125 online (and even more in stores).  The good news is that they last quite a long time.  But if yours has gone the way of the dodo — or you just need another one — this is a pretty good price.

Tool King’s regular price on these batteries is $99.99. They are awesome! One of the Milwaukee reps was showing me this little analyzer device that talks to the computer in the battery and tells you all sorts of status information: how many times the battery has been charged, the date of it’s first charge, max temperature, cell voltage, etc. Very high tech and surprisingly lightweight.

Ben: Yep, Tool King is one of the vendors selling ’em through Amazon.

Regarding the battery info box: I’m always surprised Milwaukee has managed to spin this so positively. I figured the real reason they’re storing the data in the battery — and making a reader — is to let them determine whether you’ve broken the 2k cycle limit on warranties — or otherwise mistreated the battery. Warranty denial, here we come!
