TM reader and photo pool member Simple Simon posted some pics of this slick custom-made drill press hold-down.  The benefits: you can operate it entirely by hand, you can quickly slide down and lock in place multiple workpieces, and it’s renewable — you can add additional layers to the base as they become scarred from drilling.

It’s a slick idea, and hopefully Simon will find a few minutes to swing by and tell us more about it!

    Destaco clamps are wonderful for jigs like this. One great advantage is you can use them over and over again for different setups and such. They are really handy to make a fence for using a circular saw or router with as well.
