If you’re a member of Sears’ Craftsman Club, you probably already know that a while back Sears adjusted the club benefits so that your additional savings apply only to items in the current club flyer and only during a short period after the release of each flyer.  For example, the most recent flyer came out late last week and expires tomorrow.

Some items of interest:

  • A 19.2V Drill w/Worklight for $95
  • A 30-Piece Screwdriver Set for $33
  • A 74-Piece Speed-Lok Master Drill and Drive Set for $40

Of course, you can check all these out in your flyer.

    This seems to be a good time to check out in-store deals too. I just bought a 19.2 two drill set (drill/driver and impact drill) for a reduced price of $119. It came with two two batteries and a charger, but no case. I bought a reduced price Craftsman toolbag to put them in for an additional $11.99.

    It’s not too hard to believe – Toolmonger comes up as the #2 hit when one googles “Craftsman Club”.

    Aside from that, there is very few information about it on Sears’ site and in stores. Registration is by mail or phone only and I don’t even think that they post the phone number on the mail-in cards that can only be found in stores.

    If you guys get emails asking about the Craftsman Club, then you have every right to be annoyed by it.

    I first found out about the Craftsman Club through Toolmonger, and the same might be true for others. I picked up a mail-in card at my local store (someone had to go looking for one for me), but eventually called up when someone provided the phone number from here:


    I can’t be the only one introduced to it because of you guys, so inquiries while unfortunate might be unavoidable.

    While I didn’t email or submit any questions about the Craftsman Club, I’m sorry if I helped lead to any frustrations.

    Craftsman: Thanks for putting up the craftsman club flyer online. I was getting tired of seeing people have to scan in their mailed copy onto a message board for people to view. Could ya’ll now make the pages a bit bigger like the regular store ads that are on the website. It’s obnoxious to have to zoom in to actually view the prices and descriptions. Thanks

    Oh, two more things Craftsman. First, I’d love for ya’ll to bring back the “dog bone” style wrench.

    Second, I wonder if you could change the way you list the sale merchandise on the website. I think it would be much better if you could see every sale item listed by main category without going into the sub categories… such as listing them all under Electrical Shop or Tool Sets without having to go into another category like Flashlights or Specialty Tool Sets.

    Just a thought. It would sure make it a bunch easier to find the sale items and I’d be much more likely to buy things that I didn’t know I needed.

    Thanks for the link to the Craftsman Club website. I just signed up. Sometime last year I tried to sign up through the internet and found I was unable too, and every time I went to Sears I forgot to sign up. I tried to log in with my Father’s old club card and was unable too (He passed away 9 years ago) When I was at Sears the other day, they told me the cards were changed a couple of years back, and Sears had sent out renewals to weed out customers who no longer wished to be a member, or who passed away.
