While reviewing Dremel’s Multi-Vise, we discovered that the bezel (right behind the chuck) on most standard Dremel tools unscrews to aid in mounting the tool to stands and other large accessories.  Apparently Dremel offers small accessories as well, like this replacement bezel with two bright white LED worklights.  (Action pic after the jump.)

Here’s the coolest bit, though: the DREMELite doesn’t need batteries because it contains a small generator that converts the tool’s rotary motion into power for the LEDs.  That means no batteries to change, and no need to turn the light on and off — when the tool spins, the LEDs light.

This light is cool. I actually got a Dremel kit with the rotary tool, a selection of bits, this light and a case for about 30 bucks at Anderson’s in Columbus, OH (actually, my Dad saw the deal and called me while he was buying one for himself and offered to get me one). We don’t have Anderson’s here in CA, so I don’t know if the deal still exists. I went on Dremel’s site to try to find out which kit it was and came across this, however: http://www.dremel.com/en-us/attachments-and-accessories/attachment-accessory-detail.htm?H=189191&G=69875&I=69877

It’s a quick release cutoff wheel!!!! I don’t know if you’re like me, but I absolutely HATE that stupid little screw at the end of the arbor….why couldn’t they make the slot wide enough at least for a NORMAL small screwdriver?

My dremel came with the light, it works pretty well in most cases, though there are a few time i’ve had to take it off to be able to get the right angle on what I was working on. That’s it’s only downfall, it’s bigger around than the regular bezel.
