Sticking to conventional wisdom that says “don’t change a classic design that works,” concrete trowels haven’t changed much in the last 50 years. But the Cam-Lock trowel adds modern kick: adjustability.
It features a quick-release handle that slides along a central bar channel to allow you to adjust the grip’s position for maximum comfort and reach. The idea is that you can transfer maximum force to any part of the trowel by flipping the black lever, moving the handle to that location along the bar, and pushing. You can even add a second handle for extra control and force.
And since it’s adjustable, just one of these trowels could replace three or four of the old fixed kind, which makes its $20 street pricing an easier pill to swallow.

stupid idea IMO … the slider/cam will get gummed up with concrete/quickset/mud whatever.
This is really more of an ergonomic handle than multi-purpose trowel. It would only replace one trowel in my toolbox, I’d still need several others. I’m all for innovations in hand tools though! (Please manufactures: no more crazy hammers though- I’m tired of getting crazy hammers for Christmas that I don’t really need, just hand me my trusty Estwing please.)
Just out of curiosity Roscoe is your trusty hammer the weird looking weight forward one from Estwing? We’ve been curious to hear how those work out.
