What’s better than a heavy-duty pavement breaker?  A heavy-duty pavement breaker with a hand truck so you don’t have to lug it around, of course!

This new electric ‘breaker from DeWalt delivers 61 ft-lbs of energy wither every impact, and features “active vibration control” to reduce user fatigue.  It also inclused an “electronic soft start” that DeWalt claims helps to keep the bit from walking, giving you better control.

Best of all, though, is the fact that this particular version compes complet with a “Hammer Truck” (can’t touch this) — a two-wheel dolly designed specifically for hauling and stowing the ‘breaker without breaking your back.

Street pricing starts around $1500.

This seems like a strange market for Dewalt to get into since most people would rent this tool and rental centers aren’t as likely to pay for a brand name.

I was surprised to see that at Lowes the other day. Wow is it big. Like Roscoe said, it seems strange for DeWalt to venture into the price point and size of tool that has a much more commercial nature even than the other high end DeWalt items. Still something that big and in the classic yellow, well I have to admit that I had a total irrational lust for the big thing.

Actually DeWalt have a range of tools not normally seen in home centres which are bigger and bigger priced. They are aimed at pros and rental.

DeWalt has some interesting info on it here:
