Essentially this funnel snaps into your radiator fill port and slowly/steadily meters in the fluid, giving two advantages: less air in the system, and the ability to fill the whole system in an unattended fashion.

It comes with three different adapters which Lisle claims fit “most domestic and import cars and light trucks.”  It retails for $26, but Froogle turns it up for as low as $20.  Watch out — many shops sell it for $30 or more!

This is a handy tool that is in need of an update. The caps supplied in the kit don’t fit threaded radiator caps or surge tanks found on most late model cars today. The funnel doesn’t really meter coolant. What it does is allow you to idle the vehicle until the thermostat opens while providing a place for coolant and trapped air to escape to other than the floor.

That’s a nice tool to have. It took me over an hour to fill the radiator on my motorcycle about 2 ounces at a time.
