The Tool Lite includes a 2″ serrated blade, a “brilliant red mini light,” a can/bottle opener, a flat screwdriver, an awl, tweezers, and a toothpick — quite a lot of stuff to pack in a 1.3 ounce tool.
I used to have numerous little multi-tools ranging from the credit card type like this to the computer-version of the Swiss Army tool — you know, the one with the interchangable-bit screwdriver. I carried the Swiss Army in my computer bag, and others in my wallet and on my keychain. Now, though, I’m so afraid I’ll forget one that I generally carry only one knife — in my pocket.
I know with all the other effects of 9/11, this one takes a pretty serious back seat, but it still sucks. I miss having a small multi-tool with me on trips.

I have one of these and I’m not a huge fan of it. I may have a lemon but mine won’t stay together, the batteries keep falling out. The size of it isn’t great to me either since I like to keep a slim wallet. The knife isn’t as accessible as I like either although I do like the size of the blade. More to my liking is this http://www.swissarmy.com/MultiTools/Product.htm?category=multitoollights&product=54191& . It’s a small SAK with a built in LED and pen. They have several models with different blade/tool options and while they list for higher, start at about $20 online. Another plus is since this is so small, it doesn’t freak people out when you use it in public.
I’ve been using Victorinox’s equivalent SwissCards for over a decade, and have given many as gifts through the years. It’s generally available at Target stores for $20. The knife and scissors are good, and I find the tweezers are very handy when you need them. I generally just carry mine in my front pocket, and I leave an older, less durable version on my office desk.
Pulling one of these out in public does seem to freak people out a bit, maybe because they’re not used to people carrying such a geeky object (or maybe it’s the concept of being prepared that freaks them out?).
