You’ve gotta love the way Ryobi’s adding everything but the kitchen sink to their 18V One+ line, including this new wet/dry canister vac. What a great idea! We’ve got a humongo-big wet/dry, but it’s a PITA to drag out just to clean up the car or pick up a small spill. This looks great for that kind of thing, and if you’ve already bought into the One+ system via one of Ryobi’s low-price combo kit deals, you’re good to go.
It’s middle-sized with a two-gallon tank, which in my opinion is just right for carrying around. Much larger and you’re pulling your arm out of the socket when it’s full, and much smaller keeps you running to the trash can too often. It’s a true wet/dry complete with a removable plug for draining liquids.
This rocks, BTW, for cleaning up a spill under the car. Troubleshooting on Project Yukon we kept ending up with a little bit of coolant — whatever remained in the upper radiator hose — underneath. This would have handled it fine and would have saved us getting out, plugging in, and putting away the monstervac.
No MSRP yet — but we expect it soon.
