All “qualified” entrants will receive a “free Wilton C-clamp.” We’re not sure what “qualified” means, but after our quick read of the press release, it looks like you just have to be over 21.
When you want to firmly hold something that’s easily crushed, your vise can use all the help it can get. We’ve featured vise-jaw covers like Soff Jaws on Toolmonger before, but Wilton designed these jaw covers with cutouts so they can better grip round objects — they should work great for holding wood, tubing, soft metal widgets, and irregularly shaped doohickeys.
How many projects don’t require a clamp of some kind? Spring clamps are extremely helpful for quickly holding something down or together, and other clamp styles are good if you just need more pressure and don’t want the object to move — so ratcheting spring clamps bring the best of both worlds.
Basically they are a spring clamp with a ratchet action and release lever that allow you to spring open and clamp down, then push a little harder to ratchet down a few teeth and hold a great deal harder than the spring could have held by itself.
