Buying Hookers Online Isn’t Easy

Pros call these “hooker hooks” or just “hookers” for short; they’re little Tetris-piece-looking hooks that hold a section of countertop in place while you’re cutting it out.  Without ‘em, the piece would fall through and jack up your cut.  With ‘em, you’re golden.

Finds: FastCap’s SpeedTape

FastCap makes some pretty decent adhesive for attaching laminates and veneers.  But what’s really interesting is that they offer it in a tape form as well.  It’s like double-sided tape; you just apply the tape to the substrate, peel off the backing, and apply your laminate or veneer.  The tape assures even and thorough coverage — with no overspray.

Finds: FasCap Speed Dollie

We seem to be finding a lot of tools from the new breed of “inventor consolidators” companies out there recently.  This one caught our eye: It’s a four-wheel, fold-up, aluminum dollie that looks to be pretty handy for moving heavier items when space is tight.
