The Modern Hand Axe

Though the ax is one of the first tools created by humans, practically no humans today even own one. Modern life has made them largely obsolete — that is, until you leave the city and have need of one. Luckily for us, Coleman makes some fine axes, like the Camp Axe pictured above, for cheap.

Coleman’s Screwdriver: Look Ma, No Battery!

When I think Colman I think gas stoves and sleeping bags — not power tools. Recently, though, Colman teamed up with a company called (wait for it) Team Products International to introduce the Flashcell screwdriver, a light-duty cordless screwdriver that draws its juice from a capacitor rather than a battery, allowing it to fully charge in just 90 seconds.

Qliedtke writes: “I put these cabinets in my shop and I am in love with them.  There’s nothing like an organized shop.  Building them was very simple, and mounting the wall cabinets was easy.  The quality of these cabinets is the best part: All of the corners are protected with metal guards, and there’s a highly durable coating on the Melamine – Coleman calls it “WorkShield” – and they use high quality hinges and draw slides.  I couldn’t be happier with them.  I now smile every time I enter my shop.”
