The wood for your next project might be hiding in your woodpile. With Carter’s AccuRight log mill and a bandsaw, you can turn those wood logs into usable boards or turning blanks. The 20″ long by 8″ wide log mill holds the wood securely so you can cut the necessary flat surfaces for safely resawing the log on your bandsaw.
The mill rides a bandsaw’s miter slot on an adjustable steel bar. The table is CNC milled from MDF, and the steel fence provides solid support for the material clamp. The clamp ends can be moved to any of the fence slots to accommodate the log you’re cutting.

wow 129 is a lot for what you can easily make from a bar/pipe clamp and some scraps.
Agreed that is a ridiculous price point for little more than a sled with a clamp on it, but thanx for the idea I’ll have to go make one on my lunch break tomorrow from some scrap……
A friend & I did exactly that a few years back. He had some American Chestnut he wanted to make pistol grips from. Worked great on my 12″ craftsman saw!
I can make one a heck of a lot cheaper, but got to give them credit for trying to make a buck.

Looks to me like one of those things you buy for Fathers day for the dad that has everything.
Using the mitre slot makes it useless for me, because my band saw has about 2 degrees of lead. I designed my sled to ride against a panel clamped to the table. The panel has a cutout for the blade.
I want to know how to cut that large of a plank on a bandsaw without the blade wavering out of square?
