Dealmonger: 7/8″ 30° Angle Service Wrench $16

By Nick Carter

Hands On Tools is selling this Martin Tools 7/8″ 30° Angle Service Wrench for $16.  The 1/4″ thick wrench helps you access lock nuts and thin nuts like you find on hydraulic equipment.  Sure, you could just grind the head down on a regular open end wrench, but you don’t have to!  These are handy tools in any of the available sizes, and definitely worth looking for used as well.

I was gonna read this post, but then some ridiculous Craftsman ad jumped up in front of it, so I went on to a different website instead.

I agree. That ad goes too far. Looks like a cool tool though, I can recall times where something like this would have come in handy in a non-hydraulics application.

Thanks for the story. I have had to grind wrenches to fit in specific slots -mostly non-hydraulic - because the standard thickness will not allow it to fit due to its design or the nut used.

I didn’t get the add like the previous 2 posters mentioned.

I got the ad, too. I understand the need for advertising to offset costs, but ones like this are just annoying.

I emailed Sean and Chuck telling them about the ad. I’m pretty sure the ad placement is NOT intentional but an error in the page layout. There’s been a few issues like this before and they’ve worked with the advertiser to fix the it.

This probably just one of those Monday morning glitches.

as a mechanic these style of wrenches were a must. used mine mostly for thin nuts on driveshafts. way cheaper than factory tools. handy as all get out.
