This STUPID implement deserves top place in WORST TOOL EVER. I have renovated many vintage houses with complex multiple lite sash windows. Old glazing can be harder and more indestructible than modern epoxies. This tool failed because it is near impossible to consistently control the bit and the cut will not remove all of the old glazing. Not to mention that the glass will inevitably break. Heat and a stiff knife blade work better and with less mess.

With a houseful of old craked windows to repair, i went thru the hassle of cross-border mail order for this a few years ago. I found it impossible to control, and I'm not without stregth or coordination. My old putty seemed harder than the tool was sharp as well. But it may be better on newer stuff.

What I eventually stumbled on was warming the old stuff with the heat gun. Came out almost by invitation, it was that easy.

Been there, done that. Works best with a 4000rpm Makita 1/4" drill. Don't even bother with a cordless....way too slow and uncontrollable.

Restoration work can be labor intensive !
