Dealmonger: Infiniter RS-1 Laser Cutting Guide $13

Lasers just keep getting cheaper — Rockler cut the price of the Infiniter RS-1 Laser Cutting Guide in half. That’s right, it’s on sale for just $13, cheaper than the Harbor Freight version is currently listed!

Triggered by spinning the blade, the RS-1 is powered by three included alkaline batteries. The RS-1 fits 5/8″ arbors with squared end and internal threading, which includes most 7-1/4″, 8″, 10″, and 12″ miter and circular saws, except 12″ Ridgid, Pro-Tech, Makita LS1221, and DeWalt DW705S miter saws produced before 2005, and Porter-Cable Quick-Change, Skil, and worm-drive circular saws.

Rockler only offers this deal to online customers, so shipping will run you an extra $7. The good news is they charge by the dollar range, not per item, for shipping — so if you’re already ordering some stuff from them, it might be worth throwing this into your basket as well.

These types of lasers are dangerous as you have to start the saw for the laser to come on so you’re trying to position your work while the blade is spinning.
These shouldn’t need batteries but should be powered by the rotation of the saw.
Will the Infiniter RS-1 Laser Cutting Guide work on a Makita LS711D Miter saw?
Thanks
