Flickr Pool: Wall-Mounted Bookrack
By Sean O'Hara
If you’re looking for the easiest and most immediately rewarding way to get into woodworking, try building some custom storage. This bookrack built by reader BarelyFitz is a fine example of a piece that’s simple yet stylish and very purpose-built.
My guess is that BarelyFitz designed this unit to combat the litter of books and mags scattered across the room by busy little hands. Of course, we can’t throw stones since the Toolmonger office is piled chest-deep with books and magazines that we haven’t gotten around to putting away or even reading in some cases.
We like that BarelyFitz set the three-shelf system down low, so the young ones can more easily clean up after themselves — good thinking.

I first thought it was this thing, only hung on a wall, and thought “Some things can’t be improved.” Yours is much nicer looking, but I dig his crazy threads, man!
