  1. KMR Says:

If your terminals are that corroded that you need a special tool to remove them, the actual problem is the owner’s lack of performing preventative and regular maintenance.

  2. Joe Says:

Hey, no offense meant at all, as I’ve been made fun of for carrying too much stuff, but if your in-car toolkit includes a battery terminal puller, that must be one helluva tool box!

  3. Old Donn Says:

One of those things, Joe. When you need it, nothing else will do. The only reason I still don’t carry one is because I drive GM. A 1/4 inch drive ratchet with a 5/16 socket takes care of the side terminal fasteners.

  4. Brau Says:

I have one of these gathering dust in a drawer. Haven’t used it since the advent of the screw-in post and a liberal coating of battery terminal goo every year as part of a yearly maintenance schedule.
