Dealmonger: Ace Royal Flat Paint $20
By Sean O'Hara
Fans of household fall projects can get down on Ace’s sale from now until the 27th of October. They’ve marked down their Royal Interior flat paints, starting at $20 a gallon — and one can’ll cover a bunch of wall.
Just remember to grab some cheapo primer if you’re adding color. It’ll help the good stuff coat a bunch better, and it’ll save you some cash in the long run.

After having used at least four different brands of interior wall paint in recent years, the one that is a clear standout is the Behr brand (Home Depot).
The absolute worst interior paint I’ve used was from MAB. My primary complaint was poor coverage and poor adhesion. All of the drywall was prepped the same during my remodel, and the only paint that was an issue was MAB. The primer used in every room was the same as well (Kilz).
The paint from Behr goes on nicely, gave the nicest finish, color retention has been good now over 5 years. And the durability of the paint from normal house wear and tear has been excellent. The MAB is definitely the worst in every respect.

Too bad this is totally crappy paint. Buy paint from a PAINT STORE. Benny moore, sherwin williams, para, general, pittsburgh. It never pays to cheap out.

I agree Jamie- hardware from the hardware store, paint from the paint store. As the general contractor I rarely regret using quality products the first time rather than the re-work time.
