Doh! Bulldozer Humpty-Dumpty
By Sean O'Hara
We’re pretty sure no one in this video actually owns that dozer. All that laughter at the end is a tell-tale sign these guys either intended to do it or aren’t financially responsible for the fallout.
It could’ve been worse: Had the trailer not cut when it did, whoever owned that white pickup behind the semi would’ve been walking home. We’re pretty sure this happy little event added an hour or two to the end of the day –- of course, that assumes they hadn’t declared “Miller Time” right before they devised this plan.
Bulldozer Falls Off Semi Trailer [YouTube]

According to the YouTube description, and it jibes with what the video looks like, the brakes failed on the tractor trailer hauling it.

I believe it. The tandems look like theyre locked up right as they pass the camera, and with all that weight, on the back, theres no way it would have been able to stop on that gravel road.

Seems real but didn’t that dozer tip over a little too easy?

The dozer was not secured properly to the trailer otherwise the trailer would have tipped with the dozer. Also, the dozer is so far back on the trailer the tractor’s brakes would have been ineffective since there was no substantial weight transferred to the tractor. Finally the dozer’s blade is not resting on the trailer.

I was under the impression that semi brakes failed closed (i.e. the air actually holds open a spring which would apply the brakes if there was an air leak).
