Quite the tool here...

The weight alone is worth the $$ to buy this thing. Do not let the weight fool you though, since it strikes and demos like a king.

I use Stiletto's waffle head 15oz framer, and trust me, the weight is not a deterrent. because of the light weight, the hammer travels faster. Plus you can carry it without a special lumbar belt. I love seeing the look on somebody's face when they say "huge hammer" and then I hand it to them.

I'm actually planning on getting their catspaw Ti-bar at some point. The interesting thing about titanium tools is the fluctuation in price.

The hammer was only $60 when I bought it, a few years later double that, and recently about $80. Last time I was looking at the small bar, it was about $75. So it pays to watch the price a month or two.

If the tool's design is good in titanium, wouldn't be just as functional in steel? Considering how much titanium costs and the far greater energy resources that it takes to produce it compared to steel, I personally avoid buying ti without really good justification. I do know that losing a $135 tool during a demolition would be a lot more annoying than losing a $30 steel one.

I played with the Tibar for a little while (I don't own one) and it appears to be worth the money. I would choose it over the Fubar in a heartbeat. The cats paw alone makes it more useful, not to mention the dimpler. I would NOT buy one thinking it was a replacement for a hammer.
I love their regular cats paw.
