Not only the same image, the same description! Apparently, its very expensive to lift content from the distributor and drop it into your own website...

They're just reselling the $600 Leathercrafting Set from Tandy Leather Factory. Didn't even change the picture...

If you're buying from Tandy frequently, pay for the membership and associated discounts. Mine paid for itself in about 3 months.

I learned the craft from a great-grandfather - and have passed it ot to many boy scouts over the last 20 years or so.
As with any craft - you cand start off slowly and then decide what you need as your skills grow.
This looks like a pretty basic set of relatively modest tools. A more demading craftsman might look to supplementing what's here with tools by C.S. Osborne and higher-end tools from the Leather Factory. One might also find that the thonging chisels shown in the photo - would be better supplemented by needles and or a commercial sewing machine - for projecst that avoid the rustic look.

That is a sweet looking set. My brother taught himself leather working when he was in his teens and got me started with a few lessons. When he left home I took over the work bench and tools and spent many hours in the basement making belts and stachels, etc. We maybe had only half the number of tools pictured in this set and were basically self-taught but we got good enough to make a little money selling our output. It's a very calming hobby and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a different way to make things.
